Lolest..at the sametime ouch, ouch!!

Back in December 1996, worried about the influence of Green Day's "explicit" fourth album, Insomniac, on her 8-year-old son, a mother decided to write a slightly aggressive letter of complaint to the band. It clearly hit a nerve, and she soon received a handwritten response from then-24-year-old frontman Billie Joe Armstrong. Both Letter are below are below.
Apparently, this exchange inspired the song 'Reject' on their next album 'Nimrod.'

  1. read this earlier tried to comment and it couldnt post but i am incensed by this billy joel guy, hey, if he is making music for himself then he shouldnt get it out there. he was shooting himself in the foot. i think 'airing dirty linen' is so uncool and they should do it in the bathroom weya no one can hear it all! psshhhwww!
